The Baltimore Jewish Council fosters cooperation and understanding within the Jewish community; builds relationships and mutual understanding with ethnic, racial, and religious groups across Maryland; advocates at all levels of government for social justice and public resources on issues of concern to the Jewish community; and through education and action, promotes strong support for Israel and the Jewish people at home and throughout the world.

  • Annual Yom HaShoah Commemoration

    Remember Us: Mothers of the Holocaust will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Baltimore Hebrew Congregation at 7:00 p.m. The program will focus on the impact of mothers during the Shoah, including stories of four mothers during the Holocaust, presented by their children and/or grandchildren. The HaZamir Baltimore Choir will provide a musical interlude. An invitation-only reception for survivors and their families will be held at 5:30 p.m. For more information call the BJC at 410-542-4850.
