In response to suicide bombings and terrorist
attacks, Israel decided to construct a security fence. This “barrier”
has raised many questions regarding its stated purpose. Please
join us to discuss, Securing Israel’s Borders: Can Anyone
Sit on The Fence? Our keynote speaker will be Rabbi
David Saperstein, Director of the Religious Action Center of Reform
Judaism.
Described in a recent profile in the Washington
Post as the “quintessential religious lobbyist on Capitol
Hill,” Rabbi Saperstein represents the national Reform Jewish
Movement to Congress and the administration. A prolific writer and
speaker, he has appeared on a number of television news and talk
shows including Nightline, Oprah, Lehrer News Hour and ABC’s
Sunday Morning. His articles have appeared in the Washington
Post and the New York Times.
I hope that you can join us for this informative and
exciting program. Please call LoReal Russell at 410-542-4850 or
email lrussell@baltjc.org
with your attendance and lunch plans ($8.00 per person).
This program is being held
in conjunction with the Baltimore Chapter
of the American Jewish Committee.
