1,000 Jewish Students from Europe, Israel and USA held a Solidarity
Rally in front of The International Court of Justice in The Hague,
organized by the Jewish Agency for Israel
In a remarkable show of grass roots organization and
in an expression of Jewish unity worldwide, over 1,000 Jewish students
from all over Europe, Israel and USA participated on Monday February
23rd in The Hague in a Solidarity Rally with Israel and against
Palestinian Terror organized by the Jewish Agency for Israel.
On Monday, February 23rd, as the International Court
of Justice opened its hearings, the Jewish Agency coordinated the
major rally of support for Israel when 927 students marched through
the streets of The Hague carrying placards with the pictures and
names of 927 Victims of Terror killed by Palestinian terrorism over
the past 3 years. The rally began at the Dutch Indies Monument and
concluded with a silent vigil in front of the International Court
of Justice in memory of those killed by Palestinian Terror.
In addition, throughout the week the student delegation
held a series of events that highlighted Palestinian terrorism and
its tragic consequences. Within this framework the Jewish Agency
prepared various information materials, flyers, stickers, banners
and outfits with anti-terror slogans. The Jewish Agency delegation
comprised of students from the World Union of Jewish Students (WUJS),
European Jewish Student Unions, European Zionist Youth Movements,
National Union of Israel Students, and Israeli Parliamentary aides.
