Maryland Redistricting Reform


Governor Hogan has executed an executive order to create a bipartisan commission examining Maryland’s redistricting process with the goal of fully reforming this process and giving this authority to an independent, nonpartisan commission. Baltimore Metropolitan Council

The Baltimore Metropolitan Council (BMC) is an organization of the Baltimore region’s elected executives, representing Baltimore City and Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford and Howard counties.  The Baltimore Metropolitan Council was chartered in 1992 as the successor to the Regional Planning Council and Baltimore Regional Council of Governments. The goal is to improve the quality of life and economic vitality in the Baltimore region.
