The BJC’s annual community Kristallnacht commemoration will honor the righteous gentile with the story of Master Sergeant Roddie Edmonds, who risked his life by not turning over the Jewish soldiers in his unit. Roddie Edmonds is the only U.S. soldier to be recognized by Yad Vashem as Righteous Among the Nations. The program will include a special screening of “Footsteps of My Father,” with an introduction by Stanlee Stahl, Executive Vice President of the Jewish Foundation for the Righteous. Following the film, there will be an opportunity for commentary and Q&A with Roddie Edmonds’ son, Pastor Chris Edmonds.
